About the Inn

Breakfast in the Conservatory Breakfast in the Conservatory: Enjoy a sumptuous complimentary breakfast in the sun-filled conservatory or on the patio (weather permitting)
If your aim is a night spent in style, the Rosewood Inn is definitely worth a visit. The elegant Victorian home provides all the amenities and comfort of a modern B&B in a classy and romantic setting. The 17 rooms are tastefully decorated, each uniquely styled. Some have fireplaces, others balconies, double soaker tubs, or Jacuzzis. A number of rooms have canopy beds and vaulted ceilings. Colour schemes and decorations range from English country to bright and bold. An attention to detail is obvious in the lovely antique furnishings, an ongoing hobby and passion of the owners. TV and phones are available for those who can't do without. After a scrumptious breakfast served in the conservatory, step outside and you're one block behind the Legislature and Royal BC Museum, just a 5 minute walk to the Inner Harbour. Not a bad way to start the day."

The Conservatory The Conservatory: our Palm Garden joins the two buildings and is the breakfast room
"Filled with plenty of colour and natural light, along with a dash of Mediterranean flair, the Rosewood Inn does much to brighten up Northwest days (and nights). The sunkissed Georgian-style home - reminiscent of an Italian villa - will warm you up to romance in no time.Ten rooms in the main house are tastefully done up in either solid colours or florals. Shades of egg yolk yellow, poppy orange, and deep plum brighten and soothe, while the prints add elegance and softness. Whatever the colour or pattern, all rooms are elegantly appointed with antiques, hardwood floors covered with Oriental rugs, goose down duvets, and private balconies. Private standard bathrooms are the norm and every room has a telephone and TV. Some feature gas log fireplaces, canopied or four-poster beds, and intimate sitting nooks. Since each is decorated differently, it's hard to specify which ones have the most romantic potential. We particularly like one fireplace room, elegantly decorated in black and white with red accents. Toile de Jouy wallpaper and a matching bedspread add a French country touch.

The staff are extremely service oriented and will gladly help you find a room that suits your taste. Rosewood Inn has just completed six deluxe rooms in the carriage house adjoining the main building. Complete with fireplaces, window seats, and double soaker tubs, these additions are bright and spacious and should keep cuddling couples happy. Morning breakfasts are served in the cheery solarium. If you want to burn off some calories from your morning meal of stuffed croissants with berry sauce, or poached eggs Rosewood Inn, take a short walk along tree lined residential streets to Beacon Hill Park, the waterfront or downtown."

Guest rooms all have sitting areas, and many have fireplaces, balconies, and canopied four poster beds. A 1998 Arts and Crafts style addition, linked to the main building through a conservatory, has six large rooms with fireplaces and double soaking tubs. Full breakfast is included. Smoking isn't allowed."
